Toilets can block for several reasons:
- Too much toilet paper at once,
- Sanitary towels, cotton buds, baby wipes, etc.
To avoid this, we ask you to flush only toilet paper down the toilet.
⚠️ The toilet may be dirty from use. We advise wearing gloves if needed when unblocking.
Steps to unblock your toilet
Method 1: Bicarbonate and vinegar
Pour half a cup of bicarbonate of soda into the bowl.
Slowly add about a medium bottle of white vinegar. The mixture will foam; this is normal.
Leave for a few minutes.
Add 3 to 4 litres of hot water to help clear the blockage.
💡 Tip: Wear a mask if the mixture foams a lot.
### Method 2: Using a coat hanger
- This method works if the blockage is near the outlet.
Straighten a wire coat hanger to get a straight piece of wire.
Insert the end into the pipe and turn it, push it in and move it in a circle to clear the passage.
