My fridge / freezer is not working properly.

The household appliances provided in our apartments are of similar quality across all Citydays properties. The instructions below therefore apply to most models.

In case of a technical issue (malfunction, noise, temperature problem, etc.), our technical team is available to assist you. Any issue resulting from improper use or lack of maintenance may be at your expense.

Understanding your appliance

  • Locate the model reference (usually inside or on the door)
  • Check the online manual to understand the settings

If you cannot find the manual, please contact us with photos and a video.

Quick checks

1. Electrical connection

  • Make sure the appliance is properly plugged in
  • Test the outlet with another device
  • Check the circuit breaker

2. The refrigerator is making noise

  • Unplug the appliance
  • Check that nothing is blocking the back
  • Ensure it is stable and level
  • Plug it back in

3. Frost buildup

  • Make sure the door is properly closed
  • Check the condition of the door seals (no air leakage)

Excess frost may indicate a sealing issue.

4. Water at the bottom of the refrigerator

  • Check the drain hole (above the vegetable drawer)
  • Make sure no food is touching the back wall
  • If blocked, clean it carefully

5. The interior light is not working

  • Remove the bulb cover
  • Replace with a 10W E14 bulb
  • Put the cover back

6. The refrigerator is not cold enough

  • Adjust the temperature using the thermostat
  • Make sure the door closes properly
  • Check the condition of the seals
