Cooking appliances are not working

The appliances provided in our apartments are of similar quality across all Citydays accommodations. The instructions below therefore apply to most models available. In case of technical fault (connection issue, leak, breakdown, etc.), our technical team is available to assist you.

Child lock enabled (induction hob)

If your hob no longer starts and the "lock" symbol appears:

  1. Press the key showing the lock.
  2. Hold it until the indicator goes out.
  3. A beep should confirm that it is unlocked. ##### Other common issues - Check that your hob or cooker is plugged into a working power supply. - Check that the control buttons or touch keys are not blocked by residue or dirt. - For induction hobs, make sure you use compatible pans (flat, magnetic bottom). ## If your appliance runs on gas ### Check if the issue affects the whole property - If no gas appliances are working, it may be a general gas outage. - Ask other occupants if they are experiencing the same issue. ### Check the gas supply valve - Valve perpendicular to the pipe = closed - Valve aligned with the pipe = open ### Check the appliance - Make sure the ignition is working (battery, button, spark). - Try lighting another burner. ### Check the gas meter (if accessible) - Check for any error message or fault indication. ## ⚠️ If you smell gas - Open windows immediately - Do not use any electrical devices - Turn off the gas supply - Contact emergency gas services immediately ### Contact us via the "Report an incident" form with: - A photo of the appliance clearly showing the model. - A photo of the error code (if displayed).(If an error code appears, we invite you to consult the appliance’s manual online to identify it, which may help resolve the issue.) - A short video showing the problem.
